Do you ever feel isolated from friendships, family, and community? Is there someone in your life who understands you, listens to you, and encourages you? Or do you muscle through each day on your own?
After God made Adam and gave him leadership over all the creatures in the garden, He said this: "It is not good for the man to be alone."
That's when the Lord God created a woman to join Adam, and they were fruitful and multiplied, making the billions of people who have ever lived on earth.
We were created to be in communion with God and in communion with other people. More than just surface level relationships, we need people we can trust, people who care. People who make the effort to honor, respect us, love us, and reveal God to us.
Shame and pride can isolate us. We may think no one will accept us the way we are, or we may think other people are too sinful to bother trusting again. These ways of thinking lead to loneliness, depression, and a lack of joy or love in life.
God wants so much more for His children!
At New River, we long to be a place where people are safe to be who they really are-- where they can be heard, understood, encouraged, and pointed to the Savior Jesus.
If you've never connected with anyone at New River and would like to, let us know! We can be reached by email (info@newriverftl.com), text or phone (954-906-9905), social media, on in person on Sundays. We can help you find safe community where you can know others and be known.
